Seward Day Parade!The Florida Historical Society will be been celebrating "William Henry Seward Day" with a PARADE!!
We have invited village organizations - Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, our Veterans, Florida Fire Dept, Little League, etc. Many groups and organizations will be dressed for the 1800's. The boys in the young historians will be dressed as Civil War soldiers (there are a number of Civil War soldiers buried in the Florida Cemetery). The girls in the young historians will be dressed as "first ladies" to the Presidents around the time of the Seward and Lincoln. You will also be surprised to see Abraham Lincoln in the parade as well. After the parade, there will be a wreath ceremony at Seward's monument.
Come join us for a FUN DAY!! Parade will step off from Cohen Circle at 10am Sat May 18th 2024.
