Join Saf for a chilled, creative and eco-friendly workshop where we focus on repairing old and loved fabric items. Saf will show you some of the basics of embroidery and how it can be used to make pretty nature-inspired patches to give life to old clothes while also adding some brand new style!

This workshop is suitable for all skill levels, from complete beginners to experienced crafters.

Event length: 1 session, Friday 27 February, 1pm - 3 pm (approx)

Meet at: NHSN Council Room, Level 2, Great North Museum: Hancock

Event cost: £5

Please bring along any fabric items you’d like to give a new life - holey shirts, beloved old teddies, or even a pair of dungarees that could use a few whimsical mushroom patches!

Photos may be taken as part of this event for social media purposes - if you would prefer to not be included please let a member of staff know at the start of the session.

Accessability:

This event is indoors in a wheelchair accessable venue. Kitchen (kettle and microwave) and accessible toilet facilities available.



About the event lead:

Safia Badawi studies Ancient History at Newcastle University, although is a lifelong lover of biology and art. She enjoys blending both passions to create nature-inspired pieces full of character.
