Are you looking to reduce textile waste, save money AND have a unique accessory that you can add to your self-care routine? Join us for our "Sew Sustainable Self Care" series, which focuses on repurposing fabric to make useful self-care items while also being eco-friendly! In this workshop you will create a breezy kimono-style wrap using repurposed clothing made from a lightweight, repurposed fabric. This versatile boho-inspired wrap can be used as a beach cover-up, a casual layering piece or just something cozy to wear on cool summer nights! This workshop is intended for those with some sewing experience, but easy enough for confident beginners. Participants may bring any lightweight repurposed woven fabrics such as used silk scarves or thin blouses/ skirts to make the wrap, but it is not required. A limited number of sewing machines will be available to use during the program, or you may bring one from home. This workshop is free, but registration is required. Space is limited, so don't delay! Register online or call 316-261-8500.
