Sew Quick and Easy: A Stash Busting Get Together

Join us for this monthly get together to create and socialize. This will be on the first Wednesday of the month.

Each month, we will make a different quick and easy project. When finished, we will take some time for show and tell from all. We will also highlight a sewing related tool, book, website, pod cast, pattern, designer or more. Before each class, we will let you know what the project will be and what you can bring of your own stash if you want. We will have materials available to use if you don’t have a stash.

Some of the projects we will be making in the coming months will be bowl cozies, drawstring bags, fabric “pots” (great for storage), tote bags, zipper bags (they really are not as hard as they look), and more. If there is a project you feel would be good for us to make, let us know and we might just schedule it in the coming months!

This is a BEGINNER level sewing class, so do not worry if you are just starting. If you are a seasoned sewist, you’ll have fun and maybe learn a few new tricks.

Items needed:

• Sewing Machine that is in working order (don’t forget your power cord!). Don’t have a machine? Don’t worry! When signing up for the class, please select “I Need to Borrow a Machine” and we will have one set up for you.
• General purpose foot and walking foot if you have one
• Neutral color sewing thread and a favorite color with 2 bobbins filled
• Sewing tools (scissors, clips or pins, stiletto or purple thang, seam ripper)
