We can't wait to see you all at this year's Preservation Celebration, Members Meeting & Armory Tour! We'll be gathering together at 2 pm at the Loveland State Armory (now Calvary Church).Our annual Preservation Celebration is a time to remember what HLC has done over the past year and to look forward to all that's to come. We’ll also have a quick organizational meeting, including an opportunity to vote on new and returning board members. Nominations will be taken before or during the meeting. Though several of our current board members who are up for renewal are interested in remaining on the board, there is still one open board position that we'd like to fill. So if you know of someone interested in preserving our historic places, please let us know! We’re especially in need of board members who will help organize a volunteer program, ramp up our fundraising efforts, or could bring technical expertise in areas such as preservation, architecture, development, or finance (although, if you have experience in these areas, you don’t have to be on the board to help us out!). We also like to have representation from around the county. We're currently in need of a Wellington representative and possibly a Livermore/Red Feather/Buckeye representative. (That's kind of broad, but anyone in any of those areas would be helpful.) Email Meg if you'd like to nominate yourself or someone else.
Light snacks and drinks will be provided. Following the celebration and member meeting, HLC president Ron Sladek will take us on a short tour of the building we'll be meeting in--the historic Loveland State Armory.
This is a members-only event. But every member is welcome to bring along a +1, making this a great opportunity to bring a friend who may be interested in checking us out and joining Historic Larimer County.
If you need to renew your membership, this meeting is also a great chance to check in with Bob, our membership coordinator, to make sure you're current.
