Join us at the Branigan Cultural Center on Saturday, February 21 from 10am to 1pm MST for our Seventh Annual "Lunar New Year Celebration!" This is the year of the Fire Horse, with the horse being the seventh character of the lunar zodiac and matching our seventh annual event! Many are celebrating the new year around the world, and we welcome you to learn more about how others enjoy the festivities through the lunar calendar.
This Lunar New Year begins on February 17, and will usher in the energetic and fiercely passionate year of the Fire Horse. We will capstone a week-long celebration between the Las Cruces Public Libraries and our own Museum System with a Saturday celebration. If you’ve been feeling stuck, stagnant, or if your spark's felt dull, it's believed that the year of the Fire Horse will help you break whatever binds you to set your soul aflame!
Come to the Branigan Cultural Center to participate in fun activities for the whole family and let your year light up brightly!
