About this Event
Open to all levels of experience and artistic backgrounds, this exclusive event held within the new workshop space at Tumbleweed Found, provides an introduction to mixed media techniques utilizing re-purposed objects and salvaged materials to create the medium of Assemblage.
(offered to adults 18+)
Instuctor is a professional mixed media artist from San Francisco. Her sought after assemblage works are staged within signature vignette-style boxes that provide a visual context for playful metaphors, song lyrics, segmented phrases and emotive sentiments.
For this intimate group workshop, Dianne will share methods and techniques to conceptualize allegorical narratives, design and develop wall mounted housing structures for them to be told from, and manifest personal interpretations through found objects to “take the stage.”
Topics include:
-Tools, Glues, Adhesives and Altering Activators
-Turning your stories & ideas into artful compositions
-Arrangement, Construction and Presentation
$150 registration fee covers 4 hours of instruction and creative time with use of provided tools, adhesives and selected objects. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own personal artifacts, items/objects and small staging boxes to combine with provided materials.
Space is limited so that individual attention and personalized direction can be provided to each participant. Pre-Registration is required to secure your spot.
