Natural Areas Conservancy is hosting a Pathkeeper Structure Builder "Trail Work Fridays" Workday on Friday, August 29 at Seton Falls Park. This series will be taking place on the last Friday of the month from June-October at Pelham Bay & Seton Falls Parks. If you are attending, please fill out this volunteer waiver.
Meeting Location: Stars and Stripes Playground
- If taking public transit, take the 5 train to Baychester Av. Meeting location is about a 11 minute walk from the subway stop.
Time: 9am - 3pm
We look forward to having you all join us for a Structure Builder Workday at Seton Falls Park! This event is free and open to the public.
This project will include constructing check steps to mitigate erosion on steep trail as well as drainage dips to divert water off of the Unnamed Official Trails at Seton Falls Park.
During this workday you will:
- Learn how to plan and assess site to install a check step
- Install a check step
- Learn how to plan and assess site to install drainage dip
- Install a drainage dip
What should you bring:
- A water bottle
- Weather appropriate clothing
- Long pants
- Sturdy, closed toe shoes
