Comedians, artists, and actual experts join forces to solve the world's issues, one "Serious Matter" at a time.
About this Event

Comedians, artists, and actual experts join forces to solve one of the world's most "Serious Matters," in a little over an hour. Each show, we comedically solve a Serious Matter. Previous serious matters we've solved include: INFINITY, SLEEP, ORGASM, CHAIRS, TEETH, GIFTS, and more. We solve these matters with a diverse lineup of stand ups, powerpoints, guest interviews, essay readings, music & video, and we fill our shows with actual, real information. The NY Times called us "delightful," which was very nice.

TONIGHT'S GUESTS:

Alison Leiby is a comedian and writer who has written for the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, The President Show, The Opposition with Jordan Klepper, and many others. She opened for Ilana Glazer on her recent tour and was a producer on her Amazon special "The Planet Is Burning." Her humor writing has appeared in The New York Times, New York Magazine, Vice, and many other publications. She hosts the horror movie podcast "Ruined," with Halle Kiefer.

Phoebe Robinson is a multi-talented stand-up comedian, New York Times best-selling writer, and actress. She was co-creator and co-star of the hit podcast turned TV show "2 Dope Queens," which aired eight hour-long specials on HBO. Phoebe is also the author of The New York Times best seller "You Can’t Touch My Hair & Other Things I Still Have To Explain," a collection of essays about race, gender and pop culture. Her second book, "Everything’s Trash, But It’s Okay" was released last fall, and was made into a pilot for Freeform. Phoebe made her feature film debut as one of the stars of the Netflix comedy "Ibiza" and followed that up by acting alongside Taraji P. Henson in the Paramount film "What Men Want."
