Join the EDDC and the Erie Downtown Partnership tomorrow as Downtown Erie welcomes an old Erie favorite to a new location! Serafini’s Trattoria will open in the Cashier’s House, 417 State Street, with a ribbon cutting ceremony beginning at noon. The building, one of the many buildings renovated and revitalized by Erie Downtown Development Corporation, features a beautiful first floor layout that will house a bar, cozy seating, and an open kitchen area with seating."For me and my family, reopening Serafini’s in downtown Erie is about so much more than opening a restaurant, it’s about carrying forward a legacy that began in 1938, when my great-grandmother Assunta ‘Nona’ Serafini first shared her recipes and hospitality with this community,” says Amanda Serafini. “Generations of Serafinis kept those traditions alive through love, hard work, and food that always made people feel like family. To now bring those recipes and that spirit back to life nearly a century later, in a historic space restored with the help of the Erie Downtown Development Corporation, is the honor of a lifetime.”
Check out this beautiful new spot sure to become a favorite lunch and date night spot!
