About this Event
Join us for our monthly Supper Club, a space to gather regularly, share food, ideas, and organise together, co-hosted and co-curated by CIVIC SQUARE and neighbours from B16 and beyond.
Supper Club takes place at Midland Sailing Club and is a space for us to connect with and support each other locally, while also looking beyond our city with visits from inspiring speakers, practitioners and activists from around the country. This space exists to highlight and celebrate organising that allows people to design, own and govern their response to the effects of climate change, including the retrofit of our homes, streets and neighbourhoods.
Whether you've come along regularly or it's your first time, you are warmly welcome to drop in and enjoy a plate of hot, tasty food with us. Building on the time spent regularly together here last year, Monthly Supper Clubs will continue on the last Tuesday of every month throughout the year, so be sure to call by when you can.
Our Monthly Supper Clubs are family-friendly and you’re more than welcome to bring children along to draw, play and dream with us too. You can also drop in at any time, leave when you need to, or come for the whole time!
Happening this Month
Join us this month in a relaxed space with special guests and neighbours with plenty of opportunities for ongoing conversation around the many ways we are already designing, organising and leading the changes we want to see in our homes, streets and neighbourhood. Details on this month's conversation hosts coming soon.
The CIVIC SQUARE team will host an open space for questions and conversation about Neighbourhood Public Square as regenerative civic infrastructure at the heart of Ladywood, Birmingham, co-building and democratising access to the spaces, tools and resources for a bold, imaginative, distributed transition, held in common with the neighbourhood.
What's On The Menu
Join us for a selection of tasty vegetarian dishes with vegan and gluten free options. Everyone is welcome to bring a dish, drinks or fruit to add to our table too. Homemade and homegrown is encouraged!
Sometimes we have food left over at Supper Club, so please do bring your own tupperware in case we do as we'd hate for food to go to waste. We can't always guarantee there will any left overs, but if there are we'd love for you to take food home with you!
