Don began his diving journey in 1976 in Newport News, VA, and has since explored everything from Mid-West lakes to the California coast, Monterey Bay, Lake Tahoe, and countless islands in the Caribbean and the Philippines. As a PADI Course Director, he has logged over 1,000 dives in California waters and has a treasure trove of stories—like diving with sea lions in kelp forests and completing his open water dives in a quarry that’s now a Walmart!
Now back in Virginia after years on the West Coast, Don is eager to share his experiences and insights on kelp diving, sea lion encounters, and the adventures that have shaped his life beneath the surface.
Whether you’re a seasoned diver or just starting your journey, this is a talk you won’t want to miss!
