September Queerly Silent Book Club

Queerly Silent Book Club at our beloved Georgies, a cornerstone of Queer Community since 1999. Bring a book, bring a friend (or roll in solo), and be ready to read!

Show up any time from 6-9pm, but here's our Gay Agenda for the evening:

6-7pm MIX & MINGLE & Kandi Conversation Bracelet making

7-8pm SILENT Reading

8-9pm OPTIONAL Mini-Asynchronous Book Club

Silent Book Club is ALWAYS FREE —please tip your bartenders, even if you're just drinking water— but there is a fee for the Kandi Conversation Bracelet Making.

How does it work?

1) Show up solo or with friends (yes, Allies are welcome)

2) Snag a color-coded name tag to show if you're there to mingle, or need some space. We'll have a spot to make Kandi Conversation Bracelets, or just chat with fellow readers You can also show up just for Silent Reading Time!

3) Grab a notecard and write down 3-5 books you've loved reading. Hand in your notecard, and you'll be added to our raffle for the evening to win prizes from Wolfe & Kron Books.

4) Pick up your book, zip those lips, and READ!5) Get Sorted! Put down those books (unless you're at the BEST PART, we get it) and get in on some @asynchronous_book_club action. We'll sort you into groups based on the books you wrote down on your notecard. You get to chat with folks who've read the books you've loved!

We'll have a raffle too for some SIGNED Queer ARCs [Advance Reader Copies], Gift Certificates, and a sweet little swag bundle.SO excited to have all y'all join us (and cross fingers for good weather so we can hang on the patio as well as inside)

Info: We'll be supplying the beads but feel free to bring your own. Or, just mingle around and meet fellow readers.

Info: Yes, we really REALLY mean silent! For a whole hour. That's the challenge! Feel free to step outside if you need to chat, and bring a (silent) fidget with you, or some crafting items, if that will help.

Info: Fill our a notecard with your name and 3-5 books you've read, last week, last year, or last millenium. Fin (she/they), owner of Wolfe & Kron Books, will sort you into groups of 3-8 based on the books you wrote down. You'll pass around your notecards with those fellow readers and talk books!
