We are pleased to welcome Sofía Núñez as our Guest Speaker for our September Club Meeting. All are welcome to join us to learn more about how Kiwanis is serving our community and how we're partnering with other great organizations to make a greater impact. Ms Núñez is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Empower the Voice, a nonprofit whose mission is to empower Hispanic families to support student success by understanding college and career pathways early.
Drawing on 12 years in education at Garland ISD, and her own journey as an immigrant mother, Sofía champions college and career pathways for students and a peer-to-peer leadership model that empowers families, especially mothers, to advocate for their children. Under her leadership, Empower the Voice has been recognized with the Economic Mobility Award and as a Dallas College Partner Ambassador, affirming its role as a trusted community partner advancing post secondary education and family empowerment.
