September Lunch Program

Join WTS Arkansas at the Clinton Presidential Center for our September lunch program, Envisioning and Implementing Complete Streets. Julia Ryan, AICP at Michael Baker International, and Daniel Holland, Transportation Planner/Program Manager at Metroplan, will introduce the fundamentals of complete streets and explore why such projects succeed or fail. Julia and Daniel will highlight key principles of land use, effective public engagement, and data-driven strategies, supported by real-world examples.

About Our Speakers
Julia Ryan, AICP, joined Michael Baker International in 2023 after a 16 year career in public service. She most recently served as the Chief Planning Officer and Director for the City of Dallas' Planning and Urban Design Department and spent 14 years at the City of Fort Worth improving transportation choices for residents and visitors. She is driven by the philosophy to leave the world better than she found it.

Daniel Holland, Transportation Planner/Program Manager at Metroplan, has planned for better regional transportation at Metroplan since 2013. He earned his Bachelors and Masters of Community and Economic Development at the University of Central Arkansas. As Metroplan’s Transportation Improvement Program Manager, Daniel plans for a healthier, more mobile, and connected Central Arkansas through multimodality and land use policy.
