The next SWIPWG Work Party is scheduled for Saturday September 6; 9:00 – 12:00.Steady progress continued in August removing the invasives upstream from the bridge; it is anticipated a break through to Ellington Road will be accomplished this month visually opening up the stream, bridge and the Invasive Plants Education Area to passing vehicles. Hope you can participate as we continue the battle with the resilient invasives.
As usual, please plan on meeting along Petersen Way where the Town Equipment trailer will be parked. For those new to the SWIPWG, the Town provides the necessary gloves, the pruning/cutting tools, bags for removed plants, and water to support our volunteer activities.
The weather is smiling on us at this time; should that change will let you know plans.
