✨💫🪐 Sweet Run State Park's Earth & Sky Adventures offer park visitor's a steller opportunity to explore after hours with a sunset hike followed by stargazing with the Northern Virginia Astronomy Club (NOVAC)!🥾 6:30pm: Experience the sights and sounds of the park at sunset with a leisurely guided hike, starting from the main parking lot.
📍 6:30-8:00pm: The Interpretive Center will be open to enjoy a glow-in-the-dark planet scavenger hunt and learn about the importance of dark skies. Park naturalists will even be attracting and identifying moths in the field!
⭐️ 8:00 p.m: Gather behind the Interpretive Center where members of the Northern Virginia Astronomy Club (NOVAC) will orient you to the night sky and offer telescopic views of planets, galaxies, nebulae, and other wonders.
🔦 Red cellophane and rubber bands will be provided to cover flashlights. Bring a blanket or chair and your curiosity and prepare to be star struck!
