This year we are celebrating 100 years of the Canterbury Mountaineering Club but it's been less than 50 years since women were allowed to join the club. This club night will tell the story of some the earliest women mountaineers in Canterbury, the first official women members and the fierce debate to allow women into the club. It will also speak of some of awesome things our CMC women have been up to since then.
It's a lot to cover in one evening but come along for some select stories and to celebrate the tenacity of the women who ignored the politics and got out and did it anyway.
