September is here, and so is our next Celtic book: This is Happiness, by Niall Williams. Set in the fictional Irish village of Faha in the 1950s, this novel’s lyrical prose and engaging characters present themes of community, love, and the impact of change while exploring human connection through gentle storytelling. Williams’ novel is appreciated as a celebration of Irish storytelling and a thought-provoking reflection on happiness, humility, and learning to see the beauty of life in the moment. Please join us on Wednesday, September 24th, from 6p-8p at McMullan’s Irish Pub as we enjoy a spritely conversation on the nature of happiness from a Celtic point of view! The Celtic Society Book Club is open to all interested, even if you don’t have time to finish the book! All are welcome to come share in the conversation and camaraderie.
