for September Bill chose for us Metronome by Tom Watson as a group we decided not to discuss a book beforehand in any kind or form (not even on street passing or on WhatsApp), bring the discussion to the table on the day, please
yesterday night we discussed The Catcher in the Rye chosen by Angela, the table was split between yes I read it and sort of enjoyed it/was ok/got it more than when I read it as teenager and havent finished it/pointless book camp
now, how a book, in case of The Catcher in the Rye which has told 65 millions of copies, becomes classic/modern classic? is it the revolutionary idea, style, stood its test of time or a scholar says so? this is the question we are still looking answer for ....
happy reading 📚, see you all in 4 weeks
