Louisiana author Gary Alipio and his daughter Melina, who illustrated the book, will be at CHB Lafayette during downtown Lafayette’s September Art Walk! During this meet and greet, Gary and Melina will chat with readers about his debut middle grade book, *Craziest Cajun Football Tale*!
The story, perfect for 8-13 year olds, follows Hatcher, who has big football dreams of being a play-calling star. But when he gets cut to the B-team for his inability to read plays correctly, he instead has to focus on surviving a season of Cajun craziness. With his cousin Heatha, who is attempting to find the root of his problems, the two work together to defy the odds.
