MYSTIC CT

Mystic, Connecticut is a historic seaport village on the Mystic River, famous for its shipbuilding past during the clipper ship era and its picturesque downtown with shops, restaurants, and the iconic Bascule Bridge. It is a premier New England tourism destination, especially popular in summer, and home to major attractions like Mystic Seaport Museum (Largest Maritime Museum in the USA & 2nd Best Open Air Museum in the USA) and Mystic Aquarium (Rank #5 in the USA). Mystic's rich maritime heritage is evident in its preserved architecture and nautical theme, making it a beautiful and historically significant place to visit and live.

DEPARTURE/RETURN SCHEDULE

Depart Date: Shown above. Please arrive 15 minutes earlier. Van will depart sharply on time with or without you.

Depart 6:00 AM from Queens (NEW): (Across street from Asian Jewels) 133-30 39th Ave, Flushing, NY 11354 (Map). Subway lines (Main St-Flushing): 7. (1 block from previous spot)

Depart 6:40 AM from Midtown NYC: (ViVi Bubble Tea) Corner of 43rd St and 9th Ave New York, NY 10036 (Map) Subway lines (Times Sq-42 St): A, C, E, 1, 2, 3, 7, N, Q, R, S.

Return Date/Time: Depart around 6:00 PM, and expect to arrive at midtown NYC 8:30 PM & Queens at 9:15 PM


TENTATIVE TRIP PLAN

Morning: Departure & Arrival

• 6:40 AM – Depart NYC

• 9:30 AM – Arrive in Mystic, CT.

9:30 AM – Mystic Seaport Museum (Optional; $35 Extra)

• Duration: ~2 hours

• Highlights: Historic ships, 19th-century village, and the Charles W. Morgan whaling ship.

• Tip: Wear comfortable shoes—lots of walking!

12:00 PM – Lunch at Olde Mistick Village

• Duration: ~1.5 hour

• Highlights: Quaint shops, duck pond, and colonial-style architecture.

• Lunch Options: Jealous Monk or Mystic Market (Sandwiches & seafood)

1:45 PM – Mystic Aquarium (Optional; $38 Extra)

• Duration: ~2 hours

• Highlights: Beluga whales (only ones in New England), sea lions, spotted seals, penguins, touch tanks, and the dinosaur exhibit.

• Tip: Book tickets online to skip the line.

4:00 PM – Mystic Pizza & Downtown Stroll

• Duration: ~1 hour

• Highlights: The iconic Mystic Pizza, local galleries, boutiques, and charming streets.

• Optional: Grab souvenirs or a coffee for the road.

5:00 PM – Waterfront Walk & Drawbridge

• Duration: • Duration: ~1 hour

• Highlights: Scenic views, relaxing by the water, and watching Drawbridge rise (40 minutes past the hour).

• Optional: Ice cream from Mystic Drawbridge Ice Cream.

6:00 PM – Depart Mystic

• ETA NYC: ~8:30 PM (depending on traffic)

Early birds: $49 for first 7 spots or 14 days in advance whichever comes first; Regular: Afterward $59

Trip includes: Round trip transportation from NYC area, semi-guided tour, parking fee, & tolls.

In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in NY Ski & Snowboard Club events and activities, the event participant acknowledges, and agrees that:

1) The risk of injury from the events may be significant, including the potential for permanent paralysis and death, and while particular rules, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious injury does exist; and,

2) KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASES or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation; and,

3) Willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation; and,

4) Event participant, HEREBY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS NY Ski & Snowboard Club their officers, officials, agents, and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event, WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL INJURY, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage to person or property, WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
