Sensory Saturday at the Downtown Erie Community Skating Rink

Sensory Skate hours are back! Join us for a special skating experience Saturday, February 1st.
The rink will be open regular Saturday hours from 12-8p but will be opening two hours early to designate time to a more accommodating experience for those with mobility difficulties and/or who struggle with sensory overload.
Helmets and rink-assists will be available to those who need it, and the music will be turned down. Since we will not apply the silicone lubricant to the surface of the synthetic rink before noon, it will be less slippery and people will be able to go out on the rink without skates if they cannot wear them, or if it would help them better assist loved ones.
The experience will be free of charge, with rental skates provided, thanks to the generous sponsorship of the kid’s gym, We Rock the Spectrum – Erie.
