Working on students who are struggling with focus, organisation, or emotional regulation? Imagine being able to guide them towards success with strategies that work—strategies you can start using the very next day.
The Building Effective Executive Function Skills with a Sensory-Motor Developmental Approach workshop is a two-day live event in Sydney led by world-renowned expert Maude Le Roux (certified in DIR®/Floortime™ and iLs - Integrated Listening Systems), who has helped children with sensory challenges, autism, and learning difficulties for decades. This workshop is designed to provide therapists, teachers, psychologists and student advocates with the actionable tools needed to transform how students learn, focus, and thrive.
Description: Executive functions, critical yet often untaught skills, are essential from as early as the age of 4. Yet, many students struggle to be organised, have efficient study ethics or have the ability to inhibit their frustration to continue their work task. Our two-day workshop delves into these vital abilities, and how they impact learning and executive efficiency in school, social and work life.
What You’ll Learn:
✅ Proven strategies to improve organisation, planning, and working memory for students of all ages.
✅ Techniques to boost attention and emotional regulation, reducing classroom chaos.
✅ Develop at least 10 different executive functioning skills to help students achieve their optimal learning potential.
✅ How to identify strengths and weaknesses in students and target collective profiles in group activities.
✅ Identify 7 steps of a sensory-developmental hierarchy that would support student readiness to apply themselves to learning.
✅ 10 to 20 immediately applicable activities that would support students’ ability to learn, while also supporting the curriculum within a fun and practical environment.
✅ Be empowered in your intervention to achieve your goal of enabling students to learn.
