Messy Play Group - The Muck Club Fairlie 60-minute messy sensory play session, packed with things like slime, oats, sand, water, sensory foods, and more. An environment where kids can explore and create. Messy play isnβt just fun - it supports fine & gross motor development through hands-on experimentation and creativity. This session is Christmas Themed οΏ½οΏ½ οΏ½Join us for a magical, messy, merry morning at the Muck Club Christmas Session! Itβs all the fun of our usual muckβplay, with a festive twist to spark joy, creativity, and a little sparkle.Common QuestionsWhat age is this playgroup suitable for?Set-ups will be best suited for children aged 6 months to 6 years. However, older/younger siblings are always welcome too if you think they would enjoy it, or you have to bring them along for childcare reasons! Can my child go alone?No. Children must attend with their parent/caregiver and be supervised by this parent/caregiver at all times during the session. No more than 4 children per adult.Do I need to clean up at the end?No! That's one of the best parts of the Muck Club, your child gets to get messy but leaves your own house clean!What should I bring?"Old" clothes that you are happy for your child to get mucky in, and/or a protective smock/overallsA change of clothes for afterwards and/or a towel.Water (there is access to a kitchen if you forget).What kind of "muck" is used?Likely things like - sand, water, slime, foam, cornflour, chia seeds, jelly, rice, oats. We will only select "kid-friendly" substances. Younger stations will only contain "taste safe" things.Is it all "messy" play?A majority of it will be, but I always include a small area with sensory play that is not messy for younger children/babies. There is also some stations with non-mucky sensory with things like rice and oats.How often will these be held?Aiming for every 1-2 months. Like our Facebook and/or Instagram page to keep up to date with our events!How much does it cost?$10 for 1 child attending with an adult (+ ticketing fees). Additional children $5 (+ ticketing fees), up to 4 children. Pricing covers hall hire, materials, setup, cleanup.Where is the session located?It will be run at the St Columba Hall (beside the St Columba church) at 59 Main street, Fairlie, South Canterbury, NZ.How will the session run?60 minutes of unstructured, open-ended messy play!I can't attend anymore, can I get a refund of my ticket?You can request a refund by clicking "manage order" on your ticket confirmation email, up to 7 days before the event. However, if it is less than 7 days of the event please email me at [email protected] and we may be able to offer a partial refund or transfer of ticket to the next event.
