About this Event
This workshop is geared towards parents/caregivers of children who have support needs around self-regulation, sensory processing and social development.
Kathleen Rooney has a combination of Special Education, Music Therapy and Sensory Integration which gives her a thorough repertoire of techniques to motivate and educate neurodiverse children.
In this workshop parents/caregivers will learn about all Seven Sensory Systems and their importance in regulating emotions to find balance in the nervous system. We will discuss how parents/caregivers can play a key role in identifying signs of dysregulation or rising stress levels. Learn what the triggers might be and some regulation strategies to improve matters.
The workshop will conclude with a massive brainstorm activity, so parents/caregivers leave with a variety of regulation strategies to use at home and school.
Registration Required. This is an adults only workshop. You will receive a Literacy Kit when you attend this workshop.
