Experience an evening of exploring all six senses, with intuition as the sixth🌿What is a sensory garden? It is a outdoor space designed to activate our sense organs, inviting us to feel, hear, smell, and taste Nature, helping us ground and return to ourselves.
Perhaps included in the garden design are edible, medicinal, and aromatic plants, wind chimes, or birdhouses to attract birdsong.
Visualization: As you walk through the garden paths, noticing where your eyes land, what colours are pleasing to you? You touch the plants around you, perhaps rubbing a leaf to gather its scent. You bring it to your nose and inhale deeply. The scent is pleasurable, the scent is calming, the scent is relaxing. A little bird lands in a tree nearby and begins to sing its song. The birdsong is relaxing and reminds you of your innate connection to the land.
Led by Sicily Oldenburg, she will weave this idea of a Sensory Garden into a Sound Bath experience, with the intention of creating a full body sound and feeling experience. Although the event will take place indoors, we can still activate our feeling senses in a similar way as walking through a garden.
It will begin with a guided meditation and move into a sound journey with crystal bowls, drums, chimes, and more. Teas and herbal elixirs will be offered, with time for sharing and discussion at the end.
