Recreate the magic of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood of Make-Believe at the Sensory-Friendly Be My Neighbor Day!
The annual celebration of “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood” will return with hands-on activities throughout the Twin Cities PBS (TPT) Lowertown Studios in downtown St. Paul. It will be a "tigertastic" time - you won't want to miss it!
Move through the event to enjoy fun activities and a meet & greet with Daniel Tiger!
This sensory-friendly timeslot will include softer music and lighting, along with a relaxed, low-pressure opportunity to meet Daniel Tiger. In addition to our sensory-friendly timeslot, a quiet room presented by Fraser will be available the full day.
Enjoy a variety of activities:
- Meet Daniel Tiger from the popular PBS Kids series “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood”.
- Make a magnet to thank a favorite teacher.
- Create a mask or puppet of your favorite character from “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood”.
- Craft friendship bracelets with pipe cleaners and beads.
- Enjoy other hands-on activities from local community partners.
- Explore the Neighborhood of Make-Believe with interactive sets.
- Watch an episode of “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood”.
- Enjoy snacks and beverages, courtesy of Kowalski’s Markets.
- And so much more!
This sensory-friendly timeslot allows 55 minutes on the main activity floor and 30 minutes in our Street Space with our movement and snack sponsors.*

Metro Transit: Taking Metro Transit to Be My Neighbor Day is an excellent choice! Click here for a Free Ride pass.
Parking: Paid parking is available in the Lowertown Ramp, which is accessible from both Jackson Street and Sibley Street. The ramp is connected to the TPT offices, and guests should take the elevator to Level K (skyway level) to check-in at our registration area.

Important notes:
- Please let families that need sensory-friendly support sign up for this designated timeslot (3:00 pm, Saturday, November 15).
- The sensory-friendly timeslot will include a lower level of music and lights along with a low-pressure Daniel Tiger meet & greet.
- In addition to our sensory-friendly timeslot, a quiet room presented by Fraser will be available the full day.
- All attendees must register for a specific time to attend this event.
- Maximum of six tickets per registration.
- Timeslots allow 55 minutes on the main activity floor and unlimited time in our Street Space with our movement and snack sponsors.*
- If possible, please leave strollers and wagons in the car.
- Space is limited for this event, and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
*Final timeslot of the day allows 30 minutes in our Street Space.
