Sensing (a)Round- workshop series on applied somatics, movement explorations & how your ball joints can make you happy ;)
Facilitators: Veronika Brandt & Juli Gabor
This workshop series is open to curious movers who want to explore the connections between ball joints, movement, and inner sensations. We invite movement enthusiasts eager to deepen their connection to the body and mind through new and experiential approaches. Our main focus will be to explore the ball joints and the impact of sensing this roundness within our inner selves.
We offer explorations in the following areas:
- Hands-On Practice:
Experience the power of listening touch and how it affects our awareness of ourselves and our movements. Discover how tactile feedback can enhance movement quality.
- Applied Anatomy:
Engage with the body on a deeper level. Through hands-on techniques and practical anatomical insights, we'll explore how our understanding of anatomy can inform and transform our movement practices. Learn to move with greater awareness, efficiency, and expressiveness.
- Opening Experimental Questions:
Through practical explorations of the body and mind in motion, we create space for reflection, questions, and new ideas, encouraging further research and discovery.
- Kinetic Delight:
Throughout the workshop, we invite you to stay attuned to sensations and movements that feel good. We encourage you to sense and express boundaries on all levels, remaining within the "safe zone" both physically and emotionally.
Whether you're looking to refine your technique, expand your creative horizons, or simply explore new ways of moving, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to experience your movements from fresh, innovative perspectives. You'll leave with a renewed sense of embodied "roundness" within yourself.
