⏰ Doors open at 8:00 AM | Tournament begins at 9:00 AM | Grand Champions award by 1:00 PM
💲 $50 for 2 divisions, $10 each additional divisions. $3 Spectators fee over 12
We’re excited to announce the Sensei Candy Karate Open Tournament 2026! This family-friendly event brings together students from Sensei Candy Karate and surrounding Karate and Taekwondo schools for a fun, respectful day of competition, sportsmanship, and community.
All Sensei Candy Karate students are strongly encouraged to attend, as tournament credit is required to earn a Black Belt. It’s also an amazing opportunity to earn a medal or trophy, showcase skills, and build confidence!
🏆 Divisions & Awards: Competitors will be placed in brackets by age and rank, with small divisions for beginners.
Events include: Kata - Specialty Kata (weapons, musical, team kata, etc.)- Point Sparring - Continuous Sparring
🥇 1st Place – Trophy
🥈 2nd & 3rd Place – Medals
🏆 Two Grand Champions will be crowned — students with the highest overall points of the day!
🎉 Special Highlights - 🎭 Guest performance to open the tournament
🎟 Raffle for weapons— fundraising for Sensei’s Kids
🍪 Concessions and bake sale available
👕 Tournament T-shirts and keepsake merchandise for sale
💰 Registration & Fees - Registration opens in December- Deadline: February 1st, 2026
☺️Spectator Fee:$3 (ages 12 and up)
😇 If help with the registration fee is needed, a fundraiser in January will help students raise money to compete.
💜Uniforms are required.
💜 To spar, students must have a groin guard and mouthpiece.
