Hello fellow potters.
Another date for your diary. This years Christmas / seasonal social evening will be on Saturday the 7th of December in The Pavilion in Hillsborough park 7.00 - 10.00ish. It's where we held the charity throwing evening. We tried hard to find somewhere more central in town but it proved impossible (booked/bands/football/space). We also hoped to have it the last week in November, but that too was unobtainable. So we have gone with what we can get.
Age UK are running the bar with a more limited range than a pub, but still it should cater for most tastes. SENPA will provide some snacks, but if folks would like to bring some food for sharing and we can have a communal 'picnic' that would be excellent. Hopefully we can talk Gerald Unwin into providing another pub quiz.
There has been some talk about a pot-swap but we'll get back to you all on that one.

Directions by public transport
There is plenty of on street making nearby as well as a couple of pay-and-display carparks attached to the park.
For those planning to come by public transport then the YELLOW tram route is the easiest. Get off at either the Hillsborough Park stop and walk uphill towards the park/library and the pavilion is on your right about 250m away by the bowling greens. Or Leppings Lane opposite the Cupola Gallery and walk back towards Hillsborough. The pavilion will be on your left, again by the bowling greens. Busses, the 18,18a, 57, 97, 731, 783, 787 and M92 all run along Middlewood Road adjacent to the park. Closest bus stop is Dixon Road. Check it stops there, I think all do, but better safe than ending up in Stocksbridge.
