WA Seniors Week is an annual celebration that encourages people of all ages to acknowledge and appreciate the valuable contributions of older people to the Western Australian community. To mark the occasion, the Mandurah Seniors Centre will host a week-long program of events from Sunday, 9 November to Friday, 14 November.
Local residents aged 55 and over can enjoy what our 2,500 members enjoy every day. With a timetable boasting more than 40 activities — over half free to attend — there will be something to suit all interests.
Friendly Seniors Week Ambassadors will also be on hand in reception (look out for the white and purple sashes) to provide tours and help visitors discover all that the Centre has to offer.
The Coffee Spot Café will be open from 9am – 1pm daily, serving delicious food made to order. Daily specials will be available, with a traditional Seniors Week Roast on Wednesday, 12 November.
Highlights of the week include the Jay Weston Elvis Extravaganza, the Christmas Makers Market, Mega Bingo and the Tea Dance.
This year, celebrations will also be shared across the wider community with free access to the pools at the Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre, a free Zumba Gold session in Dawesville, and a Breath Workshop in Lakelands.
Come along and celebrate Seniors Week with us — it’s the perfect chance to connect, discover and join in the fun!
