WBPL’s Artsy Adults Project funded by the Ontario Government’s Seniors Community Grant is offering two stone carving workshops where you can explore the ancient craft of stone carving in this immersive workshop! Whether you're a budding artist or simply looking to try something new, this hands-on experience offers you the chance to transform raw stone into your own unique works of art. You'll learn essential techniques, discover various types of stone, and master the tools of the trade.

WBPL’s Artsy Adults Project is targeted to participants ages 55+ who have a WBPL library card. The workshops are free to attend and all materials will be provided.
Important Registration Details
Because WBPL expects high interest in Artsy Adults programs, the library is implementing a lottery system to help ensure that as many older adults as possible are able to participate in the 10 creative programs planned for 2024/2025.
To participate, please sign up on the waiting list for the programs that interest you by the specified cut-off date. Library staff will randomly select participants from the waiting list approximately 15 days prior to a program. These successful candidates will receive notification by email (or phone call if email is not available) and will be required to respond to confirm their seats.
