Meet with us the second Tuesday of every month for a book club just for seniors.Meet to discuss Fuzz: When Nature Breaks the Law by Mary Roach.
What happens when wildlife, just acting naturally, invades our existence in undesired, and often dangerous ways? In Fuzz: When Nature Breaks the Law, Mary Roach examines this important issue as humans and nature encroach upon each other with increasing regularity.
What’s to be done about a jaywalking moose? A bear caught breaking and entering? A murderous tree? Three hundred years ago, animals who broke the law would be assigned legal representation and put on trial. Nowadays, author Roach discovers that these answers are best found in science: the curious science of human-wildlife conflict, a discipline at the crossroads of human behavior and wildlife biology.
Books will be available in the Adult Services department. We will obtain as many large print and audio copies as possible. This book club is intended for adults. No registration is required.
