Calling all parents and carers of SEND children in Birmingham. We need to send a message to BCC that we need change!For a second time Ofsted have highlighted the many inadequacies in Birmingham City Councils SEND practice.
"The area has made sufficient progress in addressing 1 of the 13 significant weaknesses identified at the initial inspection. The area has not made sufficient progress in addressing 12 significant weaknesses."
Our children are being failed and it is time that we make our voices heard ... again!
We know that BCC has faced swingeing cuts but many of the issues highlighted are down to a lack of joined up strategies and co-production and poor communication with parents. These things don't cost money!
We must play an active role in our children health and education, BCC must prioritise rectifying the many problems this report shows them.
Please do what you can to be represented at this rally. We will encourage social distancing and caution around Covid, we recognise that our children and families are vulnerable. However, we would like to make this rally family friendly where possible and would love children to attend or even speak, to highlight the impact of such poor services from BCC.
