Join Warehouse Workers for Justice and the Illinois Green New Deal Network for a protest of U.S. Senators Dick Durbin and Tammy Duckworth who are failing to listen to the residents of Chicago's southland who do not want the Northpoint project outside of Elwood, Illinois. This event is part of a national day of action in support of the THRIVE agenda. While Senator Duckworth, Durbin and Representative Bobby Rush are claiming we need Northpoint for good jobs, the reality of warehouse work is filled with stories of low wages, unsafe working conditions and discrimination. The current push for Northpoint is based on developer greed, not the interest of warehouse workers or the community. Join WWJ as we demand accountability from Duckworth, Durbin and Rush and as we say: No To Northpoint, Yes to A Green New Deal!!!
