Kay-OSS loves spooky season, but we know how hard to can be for some of our beautiful SEN children/young adults, from the crowds, the noise, sensory issues with costumes, some can’t speak to say trick or treat, and the list is endless…. Of course all of that then gets heightened by the fact it’s dark and late too…. So Kay-OSS tried out a Daytime trick or treat last year and it was fab, so we have had a word with some residents on the village again to arrange a route. We will all meet at the social club until we’ve all arrived, and then we will take a little walk to the pre-selected houses…so bring along a bag or pot with you to collect your treats in. I’ll try to keep the route as simple as possible but if you’d prefer to use wheelchairs to support mobility then please do.
Once we finish the route we will head back to the social club where we will we will this year keep it calm… everyone will get a pumpkin they can design, carve and take home with them at the end.
You never know, there may even be a little prize for the best costumes, parents feel free to get involved and dress up too!
Finish time is a rough estimate for allowing time to trick or treat and then carve pumpkins, if you want to leave sooner or we need a little longer, please don’t panic… we will try out best to accommodate where needed.
£13 per child/young adult… covers the trick or treat, disco entry, party food, games and an extra little treat bag to take home as well as an accompanying adult.
PLEASE NOTE, this is not staffed, an adult will be expected to do the route also to maintain safety near roads.
SAFEGUARDING - we have a lot of children attend the sessions, and some CAN NOT be uploaded to social media, so please be sure to crop/cover before you upload anything to social media, safety has to come first.
