Anne o podejściu do treningów:
For me, dog training is all about having fun and feeling that special connection with your dog – that amazing moment when your dog stands in front of you, eager and full of motivation, asking to train. That feeling is truly indescribable. The sport has evolved tremendously since I first started, and so have I.
I love learning new things, experimenting with ideas, and being creative in finding solutions that work for each individual dog. What works for one dog might not work for the next – and that’s exactly what makes this hobby so fascinating. You never stop learning, and that’s what keeps it exciting. I often teach tricks and different behaviors just for fun, without too many strict criteria, and later use those skills as building blocks for obedience exercises.
Over the years, I’ve taught numerous courses both in Norway and abroad, as well as given many private lessons.
I’ve participated in countless instructor seminars and traveled to many countries to train with international dog trainers and gain new knowledge. At this point, I’ve lost count of how many training sessions and national team gatherings I’ve attended.
In addition, I’ve had the pleasure of serving as the coach for the national obedience recruits for several years. I currently offer online obedience courses (in Norwegian) through onlinehundetrening.no
Anne o swojej karierze Obedience:
I have been competing in obedience since 1993 and have had the honor of representing Norway on the national obedience team with four different dogs – one Bearded Collie and three Border Collies.
I am recently certified as an obedience judge through the Norwegian Kennel Club.
My current dog, Ella, a Border Collie, just turned eight years old. Together, we have achieved two bronze medals at the World Championships (2022 and 2025), as well as a gold medal at the Norwegian Championship in 2022 and three silver medals at the national level.
With my previous dogs: Bundy, my Bearded Collie, was on the national team twice and placed 6th at the World Championship in 1997.
Tigern, my first Border Collie, competed for several years on the national team, with a best result of 6th place at the World Championship in Zagreb, and three 4th places at the Norwegian Championship.
Pondus, another Border Collie, was also on the national team for several years and earned many strong results nationally, including a silver medal in the Norwegian Championship in rally obedience.
