📣📣📣 Event alert at RFSL Malmö!Come to our seminar- Understanding the intersex community!
The intersex community remains one of the most misunderstood and marginalized groups within the queer community at large. Few information resources pertaining to intersex issues exist, which contributes to a lack of understanding and education among the broader public, but also on an institutional level. Non-consensual surgeries and medically unnecessary interventions are among the most prominent challenges intersex persons face, especially in the early stages of their lives.
This seminar, led by a member of the intersex community, will focus on the challenges and needs of the intersex community, provide comprehensive information on terminology and lived experiences, and present strategies for empowering, including and destigmatizing the intersex community.
