On Lucas
Lucas Groglio is a 32-year-old Argentine entrepreneur and cocktail lover who has been working in the spirits industry for over 14 years with his cocktail company LO HACEMOS BIEN, where he performs as founder and CEO.
With 14+ years in the hospitality industry, LO HACEMOS BIEN has become the leading company in cocktail catering for social and corporate events as well as beverage management and consultancy for massive fairs and festivals, such as Festival Bocas Abiertas, Feria Masticar, Buenos Aires Market, Yelp Food Festival, Creamfields, UNLOCK and Bio Feria.
In the past years -and due to the large scope his company was undertaking- Lucas became interested in sustainability and how to reduce the impact his company’s operation was generating on the environment and his community.
So, with the help of an NGO specialized in sustainability and circular economy, he developed and launched Coctelería Consciente, the first sustainable bartending project 100% responsible for its impact.
Its main goal is to raise awareness in the cocktail industry about the environment, sustainability, circular economy, healthy habits, wise drinking, and social responsibility through cocktails, spirits and bars.
Lucas was also part of the Cocktail Apprentice Program of Tales of The Cocktail On Tour in Buenos Aires in 2014 and in 2017, he was awarded a "Sustainable Spirit Award" by Tales of the Cocktail for his work spreading the conversation between sustainability and cocktails through his project "Coctelería Consciente".
In addition, he was appointed as Tales of the Cocktail Global Attaché for Argentina and South America, showcasing the Latin American cocktail scene to the rest of the world.
He has also worked as a sustainability advisor for DIAGEO World Class Competition + Judge at World Class Competition Argentina, La CoctelEra Bartending Competition in Chile, Innobar Latinoamérica Competition and #HennesyMyWay Global Cocktail Competition.
During 2018 and 2019, he was invited to some of the most important cocktail fairs and festivals in the world to present his project Coctelería Consciente, such as Amsterdam Perfect Serve, Barcelona Cocktail Art, Tales of The Cocktail, Toronto Cocktail Conference, Clase Maestra Perú, Barra México, La CoctelEra Chile, Buenos Aires Coctel Inspira, among others, to raise awareness and education on sustainability and healthy habits.
In 2019, Coctelería Consciente was recognised as “Sustainable Project” by the Federal Secretary of Environment and Sustainable Development of the Argentine Republic, within their National Program of Entrepreneurs for Sustainable Development (PROESUS).
In 2020, Coctelería Consciente was awarded a “Sustainability Spirit Award” in the category “Green Project”, granted by Barcelona Cocktail Art.
Also, Lucas was one of the ten finalists in the Havana Club Bar Entrepreneur Awards 2020. And participated as guest speaker at Flor de Caña Sustainability Talks.
In 2021 Lucas became the inaugural winner of the IWSC (International Wine and Spirits Competition) Bartender Award 2021. He participated at Pernod Ricard ́s The Bar World of Tomorrow online education program with the seminar ̈Resources for a Sustainable Bar ̈ with bartender Marias Iriarte and Chef Máximo Cabrera.
And presented an online sustainability seminar at Fratelli Branca Academy for Latinamerican bartenders.
Also he returned to Tales of The Cocktail Festival at its 19th edition with Edie Burns and Chef Thais Rodriguez with an online seminar on how to create and maintain a true sustainability program for hotels.
Based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Lucas continues to work towards the sustainable development of the hospitality industry offering workshops, seminars and consultancy to brands, venues and the general public.
