Please join us for a fun evening of learning how to create semi-abstract art. This form of art combines elements of both figurative and abstract art, you will have a recognisable subject as the main focal point of your painting, and you will then use textures, with modalities such as modelling paste, pallet knives just to name a few to create texture and emphasis on certain areas.
You do not have to be an artist or avid crafter for this workshop it is perfect for complete beginners to the advanced.
You will be working on a 30x40cm canvas board, which is the perfect size for getting your head around a new skill.
To ensure that we have the correct materials and you get the best tuition, you will need to make us aware upon booking which of the below options you would like to do, (please send a screen shot of the image you would like to do, to confirm):

You are of course welcome to do your own thing, we cannot however guarantee that we will have the exact materials and colours you will need, or give you the same level of guidance and tuition that you would get choosing one of the above options.
Cost of the workshop is £12.50, or £45 for the whole month.
This workshop forms part of our adults only weekly craft club, where we do something different each week.
All materials and refreshments are provided. However you will need to bring your own mug/cup for your drink.
Please note booking is essential, we cannot accept walk ins on the day, full payment will also be required upon booking to secure your space. Please note that should you no longer be able to attend, we will be unable to move you to a different event or refund you due the cost of materials, unless we can fill your space.

We are located next to the pet shop and opposite the hairdressers.
As the name suggests we are located under ground, therefore there is no disabled access. However there are two large handrails to guide you down the stairs, and the area is bright and well lit.
There is ample free parking in the car park by the library and the co-op, please do however ensure that you check the time restrictions and areas that may be permit only.
And finally as we are an arts and crafts centre we therefore recommend that you always wear old clothes, or clothes that you do not mind permanent stains on, anything you wear or bring is at your own risk in terms of stains or damage.
