James Lay is a Corporate Transactions Partner at Larking Gowen with over 20 years’ experience of advising hundreds of business owners on the sale of their businesses. He will present with a particular focus on explaining how businesses are valued, practical ways to maximise that value, sale options including the 4 step sale process, current market conditions and strategies to minimise the tax bill arising from a sale.
Gavin Wood is Head of Private Clients at Beckett Financial Services and has been a financial planner for over 25 years. He will focus on how to plan the ideal retirement, the importance of using cash flow forecasting to remove emotion from the sales decision, the key benefits of tax efficient planning pre-retirement and how to protect your wealth to make sure the retirement pot doesn’t run dry.
