An opportunity to check your baby’s weight as well as talk to staff from the Family Support Service on a variety of health promotions and parenting support topics.
The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health recommend weighing your baby /toddler at specific times by the time your child is 2.5 years.
Please access the Family Centre self-weigh stations to check your baby’s progress at 16 weeks, 20 weeks, 8 months and 12 months.
If you have any queries or concerns please ring 0300 123 7572 to speak to a Health Visitor.
We will ring you before your appointment to ensure that you get the most out of it and to talk you through some important safety measures.

Please remember to bring a pen and paper so you can note down your baby's weight before transferring this information into your red book.
Venue information:
Enter the grounds via Birchwood nursery and follow the path down the side of building. Until you access the building at the back which is signposted.
The community room and office is on the right hand side as you enter the building.
There is no parking in the main nursery car park. There is parking on Crawford Road please respect the local residents.
It is located on the site of Birchwood Nursery. The office is in the building at the back of the site. Which also contains the Community Room. Access to this area you would walk down the side walk at the side of the Nursery.
Due to Health and safety reasons we ask for all buggies are left outside under one of the shelters when attending sessions. Please keep all personal items with you.
Disabled access toilet and baby changing area.
Situated on the site of Birchwood Nursery school.
