About this Event

Join Reiki Master Teacher and Sound Healer Vera Chapman for a meaningful self-care experience that combines the restorative practice of self-Reiki with a powerful healing sound immersion.

NOTE: This program is for Level-1+ certified Reiki practitioners from any lineage.

What is a sound bath?

A sound bath is a deeply immersive healing experience designed to promote relaxation and healing through sound. Many participants enter a meditative state, where thoughts slow down, and a sense of peace and stillness envelops you. Time may seem to stretch, and you might lose track of it entirely. You might feel the vibrations of the sound traveling through your body, creating a sense of resonance and alignment. Some people experience tingling sensations, deep relaxation, or even a sense of weightlessness. Following the session, you’ll likely feel a profound sense of calm, clarity, and rejuvenation. It’s common to leave with a greater sense of balance and well-being, as the frequencies have helped release tension and energetic blocks.

Why combine sound and self-Reiki?

Reiki is a vital part of self-care and ideally should be practiced daily (much like brushing your teeth). However, life often gets busy, leaving very little room for ourselves at the end of long days. Our goal is to create and hold a space for you to connect deeply with yourself without distraction. You've felt the power of self-Reiki. Now imagine practicing while healing energy frequencies move around and through you! It will be a powerful healing experience - and the perfect space for you to destress and restore energetic balance. (This event also falls on the evening of Election Day, and we might all really need to destress by that point!)

What to expect.

We'll begin the healing experience by creating a container, checking in, sharing dharma, and setting intentions for the practice. Next, we'll activate Reiki energy and prepare for the practice. Next, Vera will use resonant healing sounds from crystal singing bowls and other healing instruments to create a sanctuary for your self-Reiki practice while she guides you through each of the chakras. Finally, we'll close the practice by reflecting on the experience in gratitude.

We'll meet at CV Restorative Bodywork in Lewiston, NY. If you choose the mat practice option, please bring your favorite yoga mat, blanket (also available in the studio), eye pillow, and journal. Please bring a blanket (also available in the studio), an eye mask, and a journal for chair practice.
