Join the Atlanta Autism Consortium in Vinings on October 24th for this event. This program will highlight the ways individuals on the autism spectrum and others can learn to embrace self-regulating tactics to combat anxiety and promote social skills in ASD.

This in-person event is free, but registration is required as space is limited. Parking is free in the parking deck.

About Dr. Hirt:

Sean Hirt, PsyD, has an array of clinical experience in a variety of settings including private practice, residential treatment centers, non-public schools, and emergency shelters. He is particularly sought out for his expertise in treating and addressing anxiety, depression, poor self-esteem, behavioral issues, and autism spectrum disorder in children and adolescents. Other areas of focus include substance abuse, life-transition issues & trauma-related disorders. Dr. Hirt uses techniques from client-centered, cognitive-behavioral theory, attachment theory, as well as family systems. Dr. Hirt works closely with all clients to develop an integrative, yet client-centered approach to treatment. More specifically, Dr. Hirt works with individuals to assist in developing the abilities and resources needed to reach goals, overcome hardships, and improve life satisfaction.

About Carrie Olsen:

Carrie Olsen, LCSW, CIMHP, is a therapist with many years of experience working with clients on anxiety, depression, and trauma. She uses a holistic, integrated approach to help connect both mind and body. Carrie's primary treatment modality is Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients develop healthy coping skills and understand how to better manage emotions, however she also draws from other theoretical models and frameworks including the Polyvagal Theory, Somatic Experiencing, and Motivational Interviewing.
