Creating self-portraits helps young children explore identity, practice self-expression, and expand their perspectives. At this gathering, educators will observe, discuss, and experiment with a variety of materials and approaches that support children to make self-portraits, including the use of children's literature to spark deeper conversations.
The morning will include a tour of All Seasons Preschool of Eagan, an intergenerational preschool housed inside Lexington Pointe Senior Living residence. Living as "neighbors" in the same building facilitates the development of caring relationships between the children and the "grandmas and grandpas" who live there. All Seasons is a nature-based and arts-focused preschool that serves children ages 2 through 5 years.
