About this Event
Join Kate and Caryn on Saturday, February 15th at 4pm!
NOTE: Limited to 12 spots!
In this special event, you will check in and receive a sage smudge and have the opportunity to choose a self love oracle card for inspiration.
Next will be the cacao ceremony. The cacao will be infused with reiki and sipped slowly during a guided sipping meditation. We suggest having a fairly empty belly (not starving) for the cacao! Benefits of cacao below!
After, participants will be guided into a yin yoga practice of deep release (this is a slow yoga form and no experience is needed) while opting to receive hands on Thai yoga (assisted stretch techniques) and/or hands on or off Reiki for energy work. You will have the opportunity to choose on a card prior to the yin practice which options of Thai/Reiki you'd like!
After, enjoy a small closing ceremony and the option to discussed shared experiences, or simply continue to your next adventure (we suggest dinner)!
What is cacao? Cacao is the raw, naturally fermented and unheated form of chocolate. Cocoa is cacao that has been heated. Chocolate goes through a huge process and has additional ingredients including milk, sugar, roasted cocoa, and in the process of making chocolate, the process and additional ingredients in chocolate don’t bring the same benefits of cocoa because the ingredients block the antioxidants. This is why the benefits are only from the raw form of cacao.
What is cacao used for? Some of the benefits of raw cacao may be-
Mood enhancer
Antioxidant-rich
Nutrient-rich
Improves memory
Increases bliss
May Reduce heart disease
Immunity booster
Builds energy
Heart chakra opening
Path to self love
Because cacao is a powerful plant medicine, it’s important that you speak to your doctor if you have any illnesses or are on medications. If you use antidepressants or experience heart conditions, this is particularly important. Antidepressants with MAOIs contraindicate with cacao and could lead to bad headaches. Also, avoid caffeine and alcohol before a cacao ceremony and drink lots of water towards the end of the ceremony to avoid dehydration.
Cost is $40/person.
Registration is non-refundable but may be transferred to another person by contacting [email protected].
