Self-guided workshop: writing with a quill & painting with pigments

À la fin du Moyen Âge, Bruxelles appartenait aux ducs de Bourgogne. Ces souverains riches et puissants ont constitué une précieuse collection de manuscrits, appelée la Librairie, aujourd’hui conservée en partie à KBR.
Le KBR museum vous invite à admirer ces trésors et à participer à un atelier libre non guidé : peinture à base de pigments naturels et initiation à la calligraphie à la plume.
Nous fournissons tout le matériel et vous installons confortablement, vous n’avez qu’à laisser libre cours à votre créativité !

Zeshonderd jaar geleden regeerden de hertogen van Bourgondië over Brussel. Deze rijke en machtige vorsten en gecultiveerde mecenassen stelden een schat samen die ook vandaag nog weet te boeien: de Librije, een unieke en kostbare verzameling handschriften.
Het KBR museum nodigt u uit om deze schatten te bewonderen en deel te nemen aan dit open atelier: schilderen met pigmenten en schrijven met een ganzenveer.
Wij zorgen voor alle materialen en een comfortabele werkplek—het enige wat u hoeft te doen, is uw creativiteit de vrije loop laten!

At the end of the Middle Ages, Brussels belonged to the Dukes of Burgundy. These wealthy and powerful rulers assembled a precious collection of manuscripts known as the Librairie, parts of which are now preserved at KBR.
The KBR museum invites you to admire these treasures and take part in this self-guided drop-in session: painting with natural pigments and an introduction to quill calligraphy.
We provide all the materials and set you up comfortably. You just have to let your creativity flow!
