About this Event
Explore Downtown Mesa in this free scavenger hunt for a chance to win great prizes, including a bicycle. Participants can enjoy the sights and sounds of holidays.
This event is self-guided where you set the pace, the route, what items or tasks you find, and in what order. All ages and abilities are welcome to compete as a team or individually. You only need to participate on your mobile device with social media or a digital camera.
Costumes are encouraged – Wear a gleeful sweater or dress festively to spread extra holiday cheer!
Walk-ups are welcome at the event. Check-in will be on Main Street and near Center (by the ice skating rink).
Need a helmet? We'll be handing out helmets* while supplies last.

Safety Tips for Participation:
When strolling or rolling:
- Wear appropriate shoes (sneakers). Avoid flip-flops.
- Obey all traffic laws.
- Cross at intersections.
- Look both ways before entering the street.
- Scan the area as you cross the street.
- Wear bright and reflective clothing.
- Be alert! Don't wear headphones so you can hear what is going on around you.
- Do not text so you can see what is happening around you.
When rolling:
- Ensure all equipment works on your bicycle (do an ABC Quick Check).
- Always wear a helmet (we have helmets available).
- Go with the flow: Ride in the same direction as the traffic.
- Use bicycle lanes when possible (1st Ave has bike lanes).
- Walk your bicycle in the crosswalk and do not run.
- Bicycles should be equipped with a white headlight and a red rear reflector.
- Downtown Mesa is a “Walk Your Wheels” Zone on the sidewalk between Country Club Drive and Centennial Way.
Please note: Main Street is a Walk Your Wheels Zone between Country Club Drive and Centennial Way. If riding or rolling, children younger than 12 must be accompanied by an adult in a trailer or on a tandem. A waiver will need to be completed to participate in the event.
