About this Event
Join us for a powerful and affirming evening of Self Defense with Kris, designed for BIPOC folks ages 9 and up. In this free community class, Kris will share 3 essential self-defense moves used to break free from body grabs—skills that center personal safety, awareness, and empowerment.
The 3 self defense moves:
- How to do an armlock
- How to break free from a wrist lock/grab
- What to do when your bear hugged grabbed
It's going to be a fun, active class! We will be invited to pair up and switch partners to get hands on real experience with different sized people.
We'll also nourish our bodies with nutrient-dense cultural foods from the Global Majority, alongside GudBru kombucha and fresh herbal tea to sip and connect in community.
